Invitation
Invitation to a summer camp in July 2026

Dear comrades,
We hope you are doing good! We would like to invite you to the summer-camp in Fehring, Austria from the 13th to 19th of July 2026.
Accommodation
The camp will take place on the site of the communal living project “Cambium” in Fehring, Austria, near the Slovenian and Hungarian border (Kasernenstraße 2, 8350 Fehring, – cambium.at). It takes you 1:00 h by train from Graz or around 4:00h from Vienna, Budapest or Ljubljana to get there. The site has capacity for 20-30 people in beds (in single rooms, double rooms and dormitories for up to 7 people) and up to 100 people in tents or vans. The site has great in- and outdoor facilities for large groups in the midst of beautiful countryside. We expect warm but mild temperatures.
The project has a sliding scale for the price per person and night: Camping €10-30, dormitory €20-40, double room €30-50, single room €40-60. Please don’t hesitate contacting us if you have any difficulties covering the accommodation and travel costs – there is some money left from the last two summer-camps and we will try to find a solution in each case.
What to expect
In 2025 we primarily discussed the current struggles in our respective regions, the question of militarisation and wars, and we talked about political organisation and revolutionary transition.
You can read the reports and minutes from the summer-camp 2025 here.

This year we want to continue these discussions, but we are open to new topics or workshops, let us know about your ideas. We will send out a draft agenda by April.

Practical Feminism

We also discuss feminist perspectives and struggles during the summercamp. On a practical level of self-organization we have agreed on a few principles in the day to day practice of the summercamp :

1. there is a "care team" that is responsible and accountable when it comes to sexism, other types of discrimination and sexualized violence; if the care team decides that somebody can no longer participate, it has to bring this decision to the general assembly to be ratified. there will be no discussion of details in the general assembly though if the affected person doesn't want that;
2. speaking time is limited, the people who give the workshops decide how many minutes; in Poznan a 2 minutes limit has been spontaneously adopted;
3. sexist or otherwise discriminatory comments will not be accepted;
4. no touching without consent! What does that mean? Outside of everyday greeting situations, please ask whether (physical) contact is desired by the other person; this can only take place if an explicit 'yes' is given;
5. the facilitation consists of three people. One is responsible for the flow of content, one person makes the list of speakers and one limits the speaking time; the speakers are prioritised in two ways: people who are not cis-men and all those who have not yet spoken are given priority;
6. if you have signed up for reproduction work and are unable to attend, please organise a replacement;
7. it is welcome that people say their pronoun, then everyone knows that it is important to the person;

Health worker's meeting

Please also note that connected to the summer-camp, we will host an international health workers meeting in Vienna on the 11th and 12th of July. You are welcome to participate, whether you work in health or not.

If you want to attend the summer-camp and/or have suggestions who else to invite, please write to us as soon as possible:
