Important pre-reading

#1. Internationalism in the Common Platform in Our Politics from Varna

Recommendation from Vogliamo Tutto is that the first paragraph in Internationalism in the Common Platform is deleted and the second is rewritten as follows- "States worldwide serve to uphold capitalist production, reproduction of class relations and exploitation of labor. Global capitalist relations have produced a global working class, the division of which into national working classes competing with each other is a major factor for class disunity. Capitalist power can only be overcome internationally based on antinational global class consciousness and action. Therefore working towards international class solidarity and perspective is pivotal.

In wars waged between capitalist nations the global working class has nothing to gain and it’s always working people taking the brunt in lives lost and lives disrupted on all sides. At the same time wars tend to deepen class disunity along national lines and especially call for building international revolutionary structures that are able to unite the class against global capital."

19:00 - 20:30

Economic Aspects of militarisation

Presentation by Revolutionäre Klärung followed by discussion.

Co-research and student-worker  struggles

We will be joined by comrades from the European university-worker network who will talk about the concept of 'workers' inquiry' and recent student-worker dormitory occupations.

They explain:

Research and Student-Worker Struggles

Spontaneity can be generally understood as class movements that, sometimes overt, sometimes covert, always oppose, disrupt and challenge the capitalist management of our lives. Our task, as militants, is to understand these spontaneous movements and organise them against the present state of things. Fortunately, we can rely on the most powerful tool the history of class struggles has left us: co-research. Co-research is a means of knowledge production and practical intervention in reality. It is a way of interacting with the social environment of workers, students, and social subjects in general. Not just to know and understand the world they live in, but to subvert it together. We will discuss what co-research is, which relies largely on the theoretical weapons produced by Operaismo in Italy during the class struggles of the sixties and seventies. We will also introduce a contemporary application of its principles by university students organised in the Workers’ Initiative. We will go over our experiences with carrying out co-research during occupations and protests at university. Could it be the tool that finally puts an end to the decades-long drought in the Polish student movement and engages more young people in political struggle?
